Los Angeles, CA – Veteran prosecutor Danette Meyers announced major endorsements this week which have placed her as the frontrunner in the June 5 District Attorney election. Meyers received the endorsement of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party with an unprecedented 90.4% vote.  The LA County Democratic Party is the largest local Democratic Party entity in the United States, representing over 2.2 million registered Democrats and a population larger than 42 other states in the 88 cities and the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County.

The Association of Deputy District Attorneys (ADDA), the union representing the prosecutors within the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office also announced their endorsement of Meyers’ candidacy.  Hyatt Seligman, President of the ADDA, told the Los Angeles Times “We want a professional who will treat us like the professionals that we are.” Seligman told the LA Weekly: "She's been a trooper in the trenches for well over 20 years.  She has a fabulous reputation as a trial attorney, and she's never been coddled or catered to. Our management is rotten at the top. We need a housecleaning, and that's what we're going to get with Ms. Meyers."

Meyers also received the endorsement of  the New Frontier Democratic Club, the largest and oldest Democratic Club in California. Meyers has continued her domination of local Democratic clubs across the county receiving the endorsement of the San Fernando Valley Democratic Club, the San Fernando Young Democrats, Long Beach Democratic Club,  Culver City Democratic Club, Mexican-American Democratic Club, Gardena Valley Democratic Club, Stonewall Democratic Club, Stonewall Young Democrats, Beverly Hills Democratic Club,  West Hollywood Democratic Club, Democratic Women’s Study Club, and the La Canada Flintridge Democratic Club.
